    Disc Golf

Enjoy FREE rounds of disc golf at Arapahoe Basin this summer! Explore our par 3 nine-hole course, starting in the base area and looping around the lower mountain. Follow our footpath for a rolling course and fun hike spanning nearly 2 miles. All holes are par 3; you can view the yardage below. The course is open seven days a week once the snow melts!

Note: the disc golf course will be closed to the public during our Disc Golf Tournament weekend, August 4 & 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    Yoga

Arapahoe Basin offers twice-weekly yoga sessions throughout the summer to help you center your body and mind in a beautiful mountain setting. Check out our one-hour sessions on Fridays and Sundays, or register for Yoga on the Mountain which combines hiking, yoga and a luncheon at Black Mountain Lodge.

    Hiking

Opened in summer 2012, the Argentine-North Fork Trail is a single-track, multi-use trail climbing from the Mountain Goat Plaza base area to Black Mountain Lodge at mid-mountain. The trail is approximately 1.8 miles long with an elevation gain of 750 feet. During your hike, you will cross beneath the Black Mountain Express lift and over the North Fork of the Snake River. The trail name is a historical one dating back to the 1950s, with nods to nearby Argentine Pass and the spur of the river that provides water to Arapahoe Basin and Summit County. At mid-mountain, the trail turns into a primitive summer road and connects at the summit with the Lenawee Trail.

Trails are open to hikers, mountain bikers, and well-behaved animals. Please pick up after your pet! Poop bags are available in the base area; please be sure to pick one up before your hike.

Another option for hikers is to hike along the nine-hole disc golf course. The course loops around the lower mountain with a distance of approximately 1.6 miles.

Arapahoe Basin is situated on U.S. Forest Service land. While the land is open to public exploration, there are several ecologically-sensitive areas that are best left undisturbed. Please consider the potential impacts to the environment before venturing off our trails.

    Trail Running

Arapahoe Basin is expanding its offerings for trail runners and other endurance athletes by hosting three trail races this summer. Join us for two smaller races on Sundays in July to train for the big Cirque Series event in August!

    Event dates:

Sunday, July 8: Arapahoe Basin Trail Running Series - Race 1

Sunday, July 22: Arapahoe Basin Trail Running Series - Race 2

Saturday, August 18: Cirque Series Trail Race

The Discrete Cirque Series is composed of some of the best trail running events in the U.S. For the second consecutive season, the Cirque Series will make a stop at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area for a rugged, challenging, roughly 7-mile course. Register online now for this awesome event!

  • Mountain Biking

    Mountain Biking

    Mountain Biking

    Mountain Biking

Self-powered mountain biking is permitted at Arapahoe Basin during our summer operating season (there is no bike haul via the lift). The 1.8 mile Argentine-North Fork Trail follows a winding, mostly single-track path along the lower mountain to Black Mountain Lodge at mid-mountain. The elevation gain is approximately 750 feet. Once you arrive at mid-mountain, you can choose to continue up to the summit via our primitive summer road for a leg-burning climb. You can access U.S.F.S. land and the Lenawee Trail via the summit of Arapahoe Basin.

In the future, Arapahoe Basin hopes to offer more options for mountain and cross-country cyclists during the summer. We will post updates here!

Even though we're known for our long ski season, Arapahoe Basin has one of the most beautiful summer seasons in Colorado. With warm temperatures, blue skies and unparalleled views, summer is a perfect time to explore the mountain. Enjoy family-friendly activities, free concerts, guided hikes and more. Stick around for lunch at Black Mountain Lodge or the 6th Alley Bar & Grill.
