Getting to Colorado

Travel Options

You’ve got more options than ever to get to the slopes in Colorado Ski Country USA. Whether you’re traveling by air, car, or train, there’s a great option for you.

By Air

Colorado has a network of regional airports including Aspen, Durango, Eagle, Grand Junction, Gunnison, Hayden/Steamboat, Montrose, and Telluride, offering more than 8.6 million passenger seats annually. Many regional airports offer flights from Denver and other large domestic airports across the United States. Thanks to these regional hubs, over half of the ski areas in Colorado Ski Country USA are located within 35 miles of an airport.

Colorado Springs Airport (COS) serves daily nonstop destinations with easy connections around the country. Located just 12 miles from downtown Colorado Springs, it’s a gateway for many ski resorts in Colorado. And with six airlines to choose from, COS makes traveling to the mountains easy and enjoyable.

By Land

Many skiers and riders come to Colorado by car. Many Colorado Ski Country USA resorts are just a day’s drive from Texas, the Southwest, and Midwest. Interstate 70 and other Colorado mountain highways and roads are very well maintained. The Colorado Department of Transportation website provides lots of information on winter driving conditions and any traction laws that may be in effect, making it easy to do your research and check conditions before hitting the road.
