Ski Passport

FAQs

Click the Buy Passes tab at the top of this page and create an account at shop.coloradoski.com/registration.

For each student in grades 3–6, you will need to upload:

  • a photo (no hats, helmets, goggles, or sunglasses)
  • proof of grade

Limit one (1) CSCUSA pass or card per student/child. Please allow 3–5 business days for activation.

Only one Proof of Grade document can be uploaded for each student.

Each Proof of Grade document must include the student’s name, grade, and school year.

Acceptable documents include:

  • school report card (current or prior year)
  • school I.D.
  • school schedule
  • online student portal screenshot

If your student’s Ski Passport documentation does not include the required information (student name, grade, and school year), you will be notified by email with instructions about how to correct the Proof of Grade.

If your student has an activated Ski Passport from a prior year and is still eligible for a Ski Passport (within the grade 3–6 range), you do not need to submit an updated Proof of Grade when you purchase this year’s Ski Passport for your student.

CSCUSA Ski Passports are non-refundable and non-transferable. All sales are final.

While we appreciate that it can be effortful to acquire Proof of Grade documentation and while we know that you sincerely want to buy the appropriate Ski Passport for your student (we know you do! And we love that!), the following Proof of Grade documents are not accepted:

  • any school document that incudes your student’s name and grade but not the year
  • a birth certificate or passport showing that your student is too young or too old to qualify for a CSCUSA Ski Passport
  • screenshots of texts from your student’s teacher stating your student’s grade
  • handwritten notes on lined notebook paper
  • graded homework (no, but congrats on nailing that assignment!)

Any current student in grades 3–6 is eligible for a CSCUSA Ski Passport.

If your student does not have public or private school documents with their name, grade, and school year, you may submit a birth certificate or a passport as your Proof of Grade document.

All Proof of Grade documents are reviewed manually, and CSCUSA uses Denver Public School (DPS) age-grade guidelines to determine Ski Passport eligibility. Birth dates that are out of range will not be activated.

CSCUSA Ski Passports are non-refundable and non-transferable. All sales are final.

Legal guardians may purchase Ski Passports for any students in grades 3–6 that are in their care.

After you complete your purchase and your Ski Passport has been activated, log in to the CSCUSA Pass Portal.

Once there, validate each of your planned visits to a member resort. You can validate a visit up to seven (7) days in advance. You will receive a Visit Validation code email (you can also access each of your Visit Validation codes in your Pass Portal) and instructions for How to Redeem at each member resort.

We’ll track exactly how many visits you have available at each member resort. Just validate and visit the ticket window!

CSCUSA passes and cards take approximately 3-5 days* to activate. You will receive an email notifying you when they are ready to use.

*Before the season starts, passes and cards may take longer to activate.

Click the Pass Portal tab at the top of this page and log with the username and password you created at the time of purchase.

Reminder: usernames are all lower case, no spaces.

Go to our Visit Validation FAQs page or watch this helpful video. It’s as easy as 1-2-3!

Passes and cards may be validated as early as seven (7) days before your planned visit, or on the day of your planned visit.

Once a validation is confirmed, it cannot be canceled.

Some member resorts may require you to follow a multi-step process to redeem your Visit Validation code.

We recommend taking a screenshot of each of your Visit Validation codes, so you don’t have to rely on internet/email access once you are at the ticket window of your chosen resort. Many resorts have only variable broadband service capability at or near their base area.

Each Ski Passport comes with two (2) free junior daily rental packages from our Presenting Sponsor Christy Sports.

Please watch for instructions in your Pass Portal.

If you are expecting an activation email, and you haven’t received one, check your email, including your junk or spam folders. We may have requested new Proof of Grade or photo documentation.

A commemorative Ski Passport is a printed plastic keepsake card.

You cannot use a commemorative Ski Passport to buy a lift ticket (or anything else, for that matter).

You can put it in a scrapbook, stick it on a bulletin board next to your kids’ artwork, or use it as an ice-scraper (although it will take you a looooooooong time to scrape your windshield, as it is the size of a credit card).

Commemorative Ski Passports are available for an additional $25 each through our shop.

More Mountains for Your Money

There’s nothing like a bluebird day in Colorado. Crisp breezes. Billowing powder. And mountains as far as the eye can see.

It’s how you introduce your children to a lifelong sport. It’s where you watch them push and grow. Where you connect and reconnect with far-flung family and catch up with old friends. Where you swap stories and give in to giggles and make memories.

Want More?

The new Gems Parent Pass gets you more mountains, more memories, more of what you love.

Available only with the purchase of a Ski Passport or Gems Teen Pass in our shop. One (1) per household. Quantities limited.

Colorado Ski Country USA is dedicated to creating opportunities for kids to participate in Colorado’s heritage of skiing and snowboarding. We are proud to have served more than half a million students since 1996.
