The Steamboat Gondola will operate for scenic gondola rides with dining available in Thunderhead Lodge on Saturday and Sunday, November 25 and 26.

Opening Day events begin on Saturday at 7:30 am, one hour prior to the lifts starting. Guests can enjoy complimentary Korbel mimosas and Champagne powder donuts from 7:30-8:30 am, and free Ohana designed custom t-shirts will be passed out to the first 100 skiers and riders in line. Skiers and riders can participate in the resort’s Instagram scavenger hunt to follow clues and find prizes on the mountain throughout the day. Prizes include Ohana Opening Day shirts, Smartwool socks, and WinterWonderGrass tickets. The fun continues on Saturday, November 25, with the Steamboat Season Launch Party and a free concert from The Motet. Visit steamboat.com/events for more information.

The forecast looks favorable for prime snowmaking temperatures Saturday through Tuesday with the possibility of around the clock snowmaking. Crews will continue to work with Mother Nature to cover more terrain with the focus next on Heavenly Daze, Greenhorn Ranch, and Right-O-Way. With additional snowmaking efforts and natural snowfall, the resort will open more terrain as conditions allow.
