Wood Copper Snow Sports Terrain Park

You know about Copper Mountain. The amazing naturally divided ski resort that offers so many amazing areas to ski and ride on. It’s easily one of the coolest areas of Colorado to go to and enjoy time with your family.

Well, just because it’s summer doesn’t mean that the fun stops or that the snow melts. That’s right. There is still snow and it’s used for the kids at the Woodward summer camp!

Okay so get this. At the Woodward Copper Summer Camp, you can; take skateboard, BMX and scooter lessons from trained professional coaches and get this, you can also take ski and snowboard lessons DURING THE SUMMER.

SNOW SPORTS IN THE SUMMER

A patch of snow that is manicured daily at Copper’s Central Park is where you will find a cool reprieve from the summer sun. You’ll still want to dress warm though! If you happen to fall, that 70º temperature may not warm you up as fast as you’d like. The snow lessons are reserved for those that are 8 years old and up. That includes adults. Feel free to ski or snowboard. There will be professional coaches for whichever one you decide.

An important note: the lessons that you will get at the Woodward Copper Summer Camp are to help you enhance your skills at the terrain park. You’ll learn terrain park etiquette, how to handle small, big and medium jumps. You’ll learn how to do rails and boxes and more. If you want some more information on exactly what happens, check out this link (https://www.coppercolorado.com/woodward/summer-camp/wwsl-snowboard)

Skateboard, BMX and Scooter Lessons

Woodward built a big building to house the obstacles and platforms that are used to train the BMXers, Skateboarders and Scooter-ers. It’s called The Barn and it’s pretty cool.

If you’re planning to learn or excel your skills at BMX, skateboarding or scootering, you can do it hear. The minimum requirement? You must be 3 years old.

You’ll learn beginner, intermediate and advanced skills such as; starting and stopper, bunny hops and ollies, and how to navigate boxes, rails, jumps and rollers.

It sounds advanced but with Woodward’s professional coaches, you’ll be riding and gliding in no time. If you want some more information on the exacts of what it offered, head here: https://www.coppercolorado.com/woodward/summer-camp/wwsl-skateboard

Private and group lessons are available but whichever you choose, you’ll be happy to know that you and your kids will be in good hands and you will leave with more skills then you came with. The summer camp ends in mid-August so you may have to wait till next summer to jump into these activities.
