Hesperus Ski Area is located 11 miles west of Durango and offers 26 trails on 60 skiable acres, with 150 inches of annual snowfall. Hesperus offers snow tubing on Marmot Hill with multiple lanes of fun at the perfect pitch.

Hesperus features a lodge and snack bar, rental shop, ski and ride school, and is the largest night skiing operation in the Four Corners region. Hesperus is a community-focused hill that boasts the only all-volunteer patrol in Colorado!

The double chair, recently named Big Horn, takes skiers and riders up to the 8,888′ summit offering over 700 feet of vertical descent. Known as the largest night skiing operation in the southwest, we also offer snow tubing on Marmot Hill, with multiple lanes of fun at the perfect pitch. We have ski and snowboard rentals as well as ski school lessons for all ages and abilities. Did you know the renowned Hesperus Ski Patrol is the only all-volunteer patrol in the state of Colorado?
