Hesperus Ski Area is located 11 miles west of Durango and offers 26 trails on 60 skiable acres, with 150 inches of annual snowfall. Hesperus offers snow tubing on Marmot Hill with multiple lanes of fun at the perfect pitch.
With a lodge and snack bar, rental shop, ski and ride school, and the largest night skiing operation in the Four Corners region, Hesperus is a locals’ paradise. And it’s home to the only all-volunteer patrol in Colorado!
*NOTE: Hesperus has announced that they are regretfully and officially closed for the 2024–25 season. We look forward to their return next season.

Hesperus offers free beginner lessons with the purchase of a lift ticket and rental package. Been at it a little longer? Guests ages 75 and better get a free lift ticket every day! Just show your ID at the ticket window.
