Winter Park Resort will open for its 75th season tomorrow, November 15 with first chair at 8:30 a.m., kicking off a diamond anniversary season for Colorados longest continually-operated ski resort.

Operating lifts on Saturday will include Arrow, Endeavor, Gemini, Comet, Meteor, and Spirit, which will service Village Way, Parkway, Porcupine, and Sorensen. There will also be a terrain park with over 10 features and a dedicated platter lift set up in Sorensen Park.

Opening Day means the Village at Winter Park will be bustling with food and drink specials at Docs Roadhouse and Derailer Bar. There will also be live music at Derailer from 3 to 5 p.m. Other on-mountain festivities include a social media photo contest, with a free Coors Light or non-alcoholic beverage at Docs or Derailer to anyone who takes their picture throughout the day on Winter Parks specially decorated first chair.

With 28.5 of fresh snow this week, Winter Park slope maintenance crews are working around the clock to open more terrain as quickly as possible. For up-to-the-minute updates on lift and trail status, please visit www.winterparkresort.com/the-mountain/lift-and-trail-report.aspx

All the new snow also means its only a matter of time before Mary Jane Territory opens with its new Lunch Rock Restaurant, Winter Parks multi-million dollar on-mountain lodge featuring Colorado themes and spectacular views.
