For the first time ever, Winter Park Resort will pair the flavors of well-known whiskeys with some of the tastiest buffalo wing recipes around, all in the beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. This festival is the perfect opportunity to sample some of the best whiskey and wings in Colorado. With a variety of styles and flavors guests will be sure to find their favorite combination. A free concert will also feature the Jami Lunde Band throughout the festival.
Guests are invited to vote for their favorite wing recipe to determine the Peoples Choice Award for the Best Wings. First prize is $500 and two VIP tickets to tour the Stranahans Distillery in Denver. Cash prizes will also be available for second and third place winners.
Anyone is welcome to enter their wing recipe and compete for prizes. Vendors can apply by filling out the Vendor Packet available on the Events and Activities page at www.winterparkresort.com.
Event Information
All ages are welcome but guests must be 21 and over with a wristband to sample whiskey. Wristbands and tickets can be purchased upon arrival at the Plaza in The Village at Winter Park starting at 1pm.

Labor Day Weekend at Winter Park Resort
The Whiskey & Wings Festival wont be the only reason to visit Winter Park Resort for Labor Day Weekend. There is really something for everyone in both Trestle Bike Park and The Village.
Supersized Saturdays- Saturday, September 1
Larger than life Saturdays are filled with gigantic games including croquet, horseshoes, checkers, jenga, and more! Join us from 11am 3pm throughout the Village for FREE face painting, caricatures, and whimsical entertainment.
Star Safari- Saturday, September 1
Star Safaris are an exciting hour and a half program featuring a presentation by the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Fiske Planetarium. Gaze through high-powered telescopes and enjoy pinpointing stars and planets by laser, while learning about the science of stars in our dark mountain sky. Start times will vary with sunset; meet at the base of the Cabriolet in the Village.
Live Music in The Village – Sunday, September 2
Enjoy live music on Sunday afternoon in The Village gazebo from 12-2pm. Let Raygunomics rock your afternoon by the pond after a long summer day on the mountain.
2012 Trestle Gravity Series Final Race- Saturday through Monday
Pack in three awesome races over Labor Day weekend! Look for a traditional style DH on Saturday, an Air DH on Sunday, and on Monday expect something so awesome that we can’t reveal our secret yet.
