The best up-and-coming freestyle mogul skiers in the United States, as well as athletes from five other countries, will come to Winter Park Resort from December 18 to December 21 to compete in the 24th annual U.S. Freestyle Selections. This marks the only moguls freestyle selection event held in the U.S. this year.
Participants will compete in moguls on December 18 and December 20, with dual moguls competition scheduled for December 21. The competition is hosted and organized by the Winter Park Competition Center and will be run on Ambush, located right near the base of Winter Park Resort. The top two male and female U.S. finishers will earn a trip to the Freestyle World Cup at Deer Valley, Utah, where they will compete for a position on the U.S. Olympic Freestyle Team
Winter Parks very own Bruce Perry, Jr, will compete alongside fellow U.S. Ski Team member Sho Kashima, as well as some of Winter Parks own best and brightest, including Junior National Mogul Champion Joel Hedrick, Elizabeth OConnell, Hallee Ray, and Kelly Lawson. Theyll be joined by some of the best mogul skiers from Australia, Germany, Russia, Japan, and China who are competing for International Ski Federation points that are instrumental in making their respective World Cup teams.
