Every day is a party at Mary Jane, but Winter Park Resort is throwing a super soiree befitting Colorados favorite grande dame as part of Mary Janes 39th Birthday Bash and Winter Carnival, taking place throughout the resort and extending to downtown Winter Park this Saturday, January 25.
Mary Janes big day includes the always-anticipated Mary Jane and the Miner lookalike contest at 2:30 p.m. at the Club Car, where couples whose costumes display the most originality, creativity, imagination, resourcefulness, and overall appeal can win great prizes including cash and airline vouchers courtesy of Frontier. The Club Car will be abuzz with activity all day with food and drink specials, live music, a photo booth, and birthday cake served at 4 p.m.
All the fun at Mary Jane is just one element of the annual Winter Carnival, which features the inaugural Stagecoach Classic cross country ski race/snowshoe tour from Devils Thumb Ranch to downtown Winter Park, snow sculptures throughout the resort, drink specials and live music at Derailer, and the beloved Winter Carnival Parade down main street Winter Park at 6 p.m., which this year has a Season of the Seven theme with floats highlighting Winter Park Resorts seven world-class territories. The night concludes in fitting fashion with a fireworks show at Hideaway Park immediately following the parade.
While Saturday is full of activity, Winter Park will be celebrating throughout the weekend with free Bump and Tele Tips from Friday through Sunday courtesy of Winter Park Ski + Ride School.
