‘Tis the season to find your festival. Snow celebrations are underway in Colorado Ski Country this week as resorts and towns hold events, parties and contests in honor of all things snow and winter.

This year marks the 98th Annual Winter Carnival in Steamboat Springs. Kicking off on Wednesday February. 2, Winter Carnival features the winter Carnival Queen, Nordic ski competitions, street events and the Lighted Man. For details visit Steamboat Springs Chamber website.

After Snowdown the fun continues in Durango with Styx Enduro taking place Sunday February 13. Styx Endurotests the limits of human endurance by skiing or riding as many runs as possible in 7 hours on Purgatory’s flagship run, Styx. Last season, two teams skied 33 laps!
