Copper Uncorked returns to Copper Mountain for the 5th season on Saturday, February 20. This unique spin on the traditional chicken wing challenge has chefs competing for the best wing recipe and wine pairing. Attendees will have the option to sample all 8 unique pairings and vote for a favorite, or sample a single pairing from the chef of their choice.
The event kicks off at 3 p.m. in Burning Stones Plaza, Center Village, perfect for those looking for aprs fun after a day on the slopes. Tickets can be purchased day-of starting at 11 a.m. in Burning Stones Plaza. $25 secures enough tickets to sample each wine and wing pairing and a vote for your favorite combo, or tickets for a single pairing can be purchased for $5 each. Kids can join in on the fun with a $12 ticket good for four wing samples. Showcased wines will be available for $6 per glass. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Copper Environmental Foundation, supporting youth environmental initiatives in Summit County and the surrounding area.
Restaurants to participate include Copper Mountains C.B. Grille, Jacks Slopeside Grill, Jills Umbrella Bar, Solitude Station, JJs Tavern, Storm King Lounge, Endos Adrenaline Caf and Friscos Whole Foods Market. Wing recipes range from garlic chili to pineapple jerk to sriracha ginger miso and more.
Louisianas New Orleans Suspects will provide live entertainment beginning at 3 p.m. Composed of some of the most seasoned and respected musicians in New Orleans, the band puts a contemporary twist on the funk, rock and R&B traditions of New Orleans music.
