Thanksjibbing to take place at Snowmass on Friday, November 27

Thanksjibbing will once again bring together invited skiers and riders to help kick off the events season at Snowmass Base Village Friday, November 27. The rail jam will take place starting at 2 p.m. Thanksjibbing will consist of a 45-minute jam session with both skiers and snowboarders, followed by a 20-minute final. The event will give spectators the chance to watch esteemed local riders and skiers including last years winner John Hemminger, along with Connor Marx, Aidan Sheahan, and the overall champions of last years Street Rail Friday series, Zach Soderholm and Stephen Smith.

In addition to the rail jam check out the post-Thanksgiving action in Base Village with a restaurant leftover challenge, a live DJ playing from the Red Bull MXT and more. Local restaurants will be offering up their best Thanksgiving-themed treats in a competition for the public to judge.

The first Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert of the season featuring Jamestown Revival, will take place on Saturday, November 28 at 6:30 p.m. in upper Gondola Plaza at the base of Aspen Mountain followed by a firework show. This Texas-bred/Los Angeles-based self-described “back-porch folk-rock” duo formed in 2011 and takes inspiration from the likes ofCreedence Clearwater Revival,Willie Nelson,the Everly Brothers,Guy Clark, andJohn Prine. The Ajax Tavern will have beer garden with $4 Bud and Bud Light specials throughout the event.
