On Friday, Jan. 5, Sunlight Mountain Resort will offer the least expensive lift ticket in the nation, while also being home to the most expensive lift ticket in the World, the Sunny 700 that includes a pair of handmade collector skis and a hot springs day pass.

This coming Friday, Sunlight also celebrates the 33rd Annual Skier Appreciation Day that includes $20 lift tickets for all. All proceeds benefit the United Way – Battlement to the Bells. The event is sponsored by United Companies of Glenwood Springs and has raised more than $200,000 for local charities.

This year’s event features a Super Hero/Super Villain Costume contest for a chance to win a 2018/19 season pass. Sunlight will be handing out free donuts from Sweet Coloradough to the first 50 people at the Tercero chairlift, and music by D.J. Merlin starts at 2 pm. A prize giveaway will also happen with top prizes including a pair of Sunny 700 collector skis and a Sunlight 50th Anniversary snowboard.
