Snowmaking operations have begun at Sunlight. Sunlight has received about 6 inches of new snow from the late-October storm, and with temperatures diving below zero the conditions for making snow are prime.
Sunlight’s planned opening day is Friday, Dec. 13th, but if favorable conditions continue it is likely we will be able to open Thanksgiving weekend, operating weekends only until Dec. 13th, as we did last season. Sunlight is closed for all activities while snowmaking operations are underway. We advise hikers, snowshoers, XC skiers to utilize the Babbish Gulch Backcountry Trails until snowmaking is complete.
