Ski Country Trifecta – This weekend is the unofficial kick off for summer. People often wonder what we do in the summer without any snow, and generally, we try to do the same thing we do in the winter, find fun ways to slide down the mountain.
The great part about this time of year is the three-sport matrix comes into play, completing three outdoor sports in the same day. For example, winter operations are still happening at A-Basin, some resorts will offer full summer operations while others offer a few activities. Then there are some resorts that put the word ‘Festival’ at the end of sentences and voila, there is the summer line up. So the trifecta could be to take some runs at A-basin, go for a bike ride, then hike into the sunset. Or maybe play 9 holes in the morning, take some runs at A-basin in the afternoon, and go for a ride in the evening.
To kick things off, take a gander at what’s happening this weekend. You’ve got three days to perfect the trifecta and then go to the Relax and Have a Drink in the Sun Festival.
