Save Our Snow Celebration Highlights Sustainability In Outdoor Recreation

Today, April 13, 2013, Arapahoe Basin Ski Area will hold its 5th annual Save Our Snow celebration to promote sustainable practices and offer information about how guests can reduce their impact on the environment. All proceeds from this event benefit the High Country Conservation Center in Frisco, Colorado.

Discounted lift tickets are available for $69 at the ticket office for that day only, with $20 from each ticket going directly to the High Country Conservation Center.

Sustainability-minded partners such as Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, Innovative Energy, and the Colorado Foundation for Water Education will participate in the Green Village in the A-Basin base area. These organizations seek to increase awareness and disseminate information about sustainability best practices. A DJ and Summit Countys own High 5 will be playing live music in the base area starting at noon.

Guests at the mountain can purchase chances to win prizes like an A-Basin season pass and lift tickets, as well as items from participating sponsors Honey Stinger, Planet Earth Clothing, New Belgium, and more.
