Purgatory Starts Daily Operations

With 20 inches of snow blanketing the resort over the past weekend and more expected later today into this evening, Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort will open Lift 1 and the frontside of the mountain for daily operations starting at 9 a.m.

Purgatory has top-to-bottom skiing and riding off Lift 1, the Purgatory Village Express Lift or the 6-Pack as locals refer to it.With the recent storm, additional trails were opened last weekend and even more of the frontside will be opened starting tomorrow.Purgys will be open for breakfast, lunch and aprs ski, and the Village Market & Deli will be open 8 a.m. 6 p.m. Powderhouse bathrooms & Pitchfork Pub will also be open. Additional information about open terrain is available in the snow report.

Early season discounted lift tickets are available today and tomorrow:$49 adults; $34 students (13-17 yrs) and seniors (65+); and $24 kids (6-12 yrs).Prices are subject to change as more terrain and lifts come online. Weekday passes will be honored this weekend, Dec. 22-23.Beginning December 24th, weekday passes are only valid Monday through.
