Powderhorn Mountain Resort has launched “Mission: Affordable,” an innovative program that makes skiing and snowboarding much more affordable for longtime enthusiasts and novices alike. At more than 50 percent off of this year’s regular season pass price, the Mission: Affordable pass lineup includes an adult pass for $259 and a family of four can ski for less than $820. The resort will cap the number of passes sold at the current pricing during this limited-time offer.

“One of our core values is that skiing and snowboarding should be more accessible for families and individuals. In recent years the cost of skiing has simply out-paced many people’s budgets,” said Powderhorn General Manager Sam Williams. “Now two adults and two kids ages 12 and under can ski all winter at Powderhorn for the price of a single season pass offered at many other resorts.”

Mission: Affordable season passes offer:

  • Unlimited lift access for the 2018-19 winter season, with no blackout dates
  • Free skiing and snowboarding for the remainder of the 2017-18 winter season
  • Free and reduced-price days at partnering resorts
  • 20 percent off of two Buddy Tickets
  • 50 percent off one group lesson
  • 10 percent off all food and beverage, retail, and rental purchases

Mission: Affordable isn’t limited to the aggressively-priced season pass products. Powderhorn will soon announce additional programs for first-time skiers and snowboarders.

“We are on a mission to make skiing and riding truly affordable. Mission: Affordable season passes are just the foundation for a larger plan to introduce skiing and snowboarding to more people,” said Powderhorn Marketing & Sales Manager Ryan Robinson. “First-time and beginner skiers and snowboarders can expect to see unmatched value at our Ski & Ride Center with lessons designed around affordability, skill development, and the creation of an authentic, fun experience.”
