The fun-filled weekend begins with the Fridays at Copper series, offering an evening concert by Katey Laurel, the 2011 winner of the Colorado Texaco Country Showdown, followed by Disneys feature film, The Muppets (PG), playing at the Burning Stones Outdoor Theater. All day Friday, guests are privileged to free Village activities with every $30 spent at Coppers dining and retail establishments.
Beginning on Saturday, the long-time favorite Copper Country Arts Festival showcases art from several of Americas leading fine artists throughout the village, as well as Copper Country veteran sculptor, Kim Shaklee, in the Kokopellis Trail. Colorado artists Laurie Maves and Eric Matelski will also be live painting throughout the concerts, with their final works being auctioned to raise funds for the Copper Environmental Foundation. Adjacent to the Copper Country Main Stage, the Copper Kids Corral entertains families with a mechanical bull, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, western-themed crafts and WOW Bubbles.
