Crested Butte
You may not have heard, but Colorados ski areas received a nice gift from Mother Nature this week – one that has left resorts with a comfortable bump in their snow totals. After receiving measurable accumulations over Presidents Day weekend, snowfall amounts have continued to rise this week by as much as 20 inches in some areas.
Durango Mountain Resort_James Bunten
With every resort expected to receive significant snowfall through the upcoming weekend, each area received new snow in the last 24 hours. Highlights include 20 inches at Monarch Mountain, 15 inches at Wolf Creek, 12 inches at Telluride, and 10 inches at Powderhorn. Snowmass reported 9 inches, Aspen 8 inches and Buttermilk 5 inches.
Monarch Mountain
Four inches fell at Sunlight, Silverton, Crested Butte and Eldora and 3 inches fell at Winter Park. An even 3 inches was received at Steamboat, Ski Cooper and Aspen Highlands and 2 inches was measured at Copper and Arapahoe Basin. Ski Granby Ranch and Loveland both received an inch.
