Loveland Ski Area – Dustin Schaeffer A series of winter storms in Colorado dropped snow over four days through this weekend, leading to fantastic powder conditions for skiers and riders and several terrain openings as the holiday season approaches. The North-Central mountains received deep powder with Steamboat picking up 22” of snow since the end of last week, Winter Park Resort receiving 28” of fresh snow and Monarch enjoying 33” over the weekend. Elsewhere in the state, the four Aspen Snowmass resorts received between one and two feet while Loveland Ski Area measured 36” on the snow stake and Arapahoe Basin welcomed two feet of snow as the Beavers terrain opened for the season. Across southern and southwest Colorado, resorts picked up anywhere from 15” at Purgatory, 38” at Wolf Creek and a foot and half at Telluride.
