In Colorado Ski Country USA, getting kids on the slopes for free is more than just childs play, its evidence of resorts commitment to providing an exceptional and affordable family ski vacation. From waiving a lift ticket fee for kids under a certain age, to offering free lift access to kids as part of a promotion or package, Colorado resorts strive to provide the opportunity for families to have a well-priced, hassle-free, and enjoyable ski vacation.

Kids under five or six years of age can ski for free at many Colorado resorts. Children five and under ski for free all season long at Arapahoe Basin, Copper Mountain, Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort, Loveland, Ski Granby Ranch, Steamboat, Sunlight Mountain Resort, Telluride, Ski Cooper, and Winter Park. Children six and under ski for free all season long at AspenSnowmass, Crested Butte, and Monarch.

Below are some kids ski free packages and promotions currently available at some CSCUSA resorts.

Arapahoe Basin
Kids Ski Free
Kids up to and including age 14 can ski or snowboard for free at Arapahoe Basin all day, any day from November 30 through December 19, 2014. There is no adult purchase requirement, nor a minimum stay requirement, and there is no limit to the amount of times children can ski or snowboard for free during this time period. Guests simply stop by the A-Basin ticket window with their kid to pick up their free lift ticket. Additionally, during the same time period, all class snowsports lessons (adult and kids group lessons) are discounted $10, and all kids tees and sweatshirts in the Arapahoe Sports Retail Shop are 20% off. AspenSnowmass
Kids Ski, Stay, and Rent Free
At AspenSnowmass, kids ski and stay free in March and April with a minimum 3-day purchase. Kids ages 7-12 ski and stay for free with the purchase of a comparable adult three day or longer lift ticket. Additionally, kids ages 7-12 rent equipment for free with the purchase of a comparable adult rental. This package must be booked by February 19, 2015 and is only valid March 15-31, 2015. Kids Ski Free Package
Durango Mountain Resorts Kids Ski Free package invites guests to enjoy four nights of lodging, three days of lift tickets for mom and dad, and kids lift tickets are free. Loveland
Free Season Pass
Lovelands 3-Class Pass for Kids is for all children, ages 4-14, of all abilities. When guests pre-purchase or complete three full-day lesson packages, they can receive a free unrestricted season pass to keep practicing their skiing or snowboarding skills for the rest of the season.Children’s full day lesson packages include the lesson, lift access, equipment rentals (ski or snowboard) and lunch.Guests may also pre-purchase the three lesson packages and enjoy the season pass all winter long. Kids/Grandkids Ski and Rent Free
Steamboat’s Kids Ski Free and Grandkids Ski Free programs enable children 12 years of age and under to ski free the same number of days as their parents/grandparents when parents/grandparents purchase a 5-or-more day adult lift ticket. Seniors (ages 70+) must purchase an Adult ticket to be eligible for this program. Each qualifying purchase allows one free child per paid parent/grandparent. Kids also rent free when their parent or grandparent rents equipment for 5 or more days. Free Season Pass
Additionally, one child (12 and under) is eligible to receive a free season pass when a parent or legal guardian purchases an adult Steamboat Season Pass. This is a time for families with children to experience Telluride in a value-conscious way. From January 31-February 7, 2015, kids 5-14 ski for free, stay for free, and receive free lessons.
