Jane-A-Thon Helps Colorado Kids One Mogul at a Time

Jane-A-Thon Helps Colorado Kids One Mogul at a Time
JAT024
How many bump runs can you do in one day? You might have what it takes to be a Jane-A-Thoner. Jane-A-Thon is a pledge based ski-athon fundraiser centered on skiing every bump run at Winter Parks Mary Jane. Each year, Jane-A-Thon participants raise thousands of dollars for Invest in Kids and their proven programs.

Participants in Invest in Kids Jane-A-Thon collect donations and/or pledges from sponsors with a goal of completing the most vertical feet and/or all 16 of Mary Janes legendary bump runs, or just enjoying a great day on the slopes with colleagues, friends and family.

This years 12th Annual Jane-A-Thon is taking place on February 25 & 26. The two-day event will have a corporate day and an individual, team, family day. Participants ski laps down Mary Janes bump runs as event officials stationed at chair-lifts check off each run completed.

Corporate day will take place on Friday, February 25th and fosters team-building and boosts company morale, while raising critical funds for Invest In Kids programs. Individual, team, and family day takes place on Saturday, February 26th and is a way for friends and family to ski and spend time together while helping Colorados neediest children.

Both days end in an aprs ski party with prizes and awards for teams and individuals. Examples of prizes from past years include a cat skiing trip for four from Powder Addiction, a pair of Icelantic skis and dinner out for a year.

Thanks to participants in last years Jane-A-Thon, Invest in Kids was able to expand some of their programming and increase the number of children and families they serve. In 2011, they will serve more than 9,000 Colorado children and families, bettering their chances of long-term success and forever changing their futures.
