It’s Dumping in Colorado!

It’s Dumping in Colorado!

The snow is falling and it’s being measured in feet! This past weekend a huge storm came through Colorado and dumped snow at all of Colorado Ski Country’s resorts. Wolf Creek, Crested Butte and Silverton got more than two feet, and their video is proof.

Monarch got nearly two feet.

Double digit snowfall was recorded at lots of other resorts too. Both Arapahoe Basin and Loveland received 18 inches of new snow, Copper and Eldora were both covered in 14 inches, and Aspen Highlands 13 inches. Eleven inches of fresh Champagne Powder fell at Steamboat and ten inches fell at Aspen Mountain and Purgatory.

Nine new inches fell at Ski Cooper, Snowmass, Telluride and Winter Park, and five inches of fresh snow was reported at SolVista Basin at Granby Ranch and Howelsen Hill. Both Sunlight and Buttermilk received four inches and Echo Mountain added two inches to its season total.

Weather experts are forecasting more snowfall throughout the week for Colorado as the heavy winter storm lingers over the Rockies. Almost every ski area is expected to receive new snow before the end of the week with some resorts predicted to get as much as five feet.
