Colorados Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced they will reopen I-70 through Glenwood Canyon to two-way travel starting at 4pm Thursday February 25.
For safety reasons traffic will be managed using a pace car in each direction, but the interstate will be passable in both directions 24 hours a day.
Because CDOT crews will continue working on the road, delays are still possible, especially during peak travel times.
The interstate had been closed through Glenwood Canyon since Monday February 14 following a rockfall slide incident. CDOT crews have been working hard to repair the road and mitigate any further rockslides.
Be sure to check CDOTs traveler information site, www.cotrip.org, for updates and any schedule changes.
