A long holiday weekend is a great excuse to escape the summer heat and celebrate Independence Day in the mountains. Colorado ski resorts and their neighboring towns are making the holiday weekend even easier to enjoy by hosting exhilarating events that include delicious food, live music, holiday parades, family-friendly activities and brilliant fireworks displays to light up the sky.

Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration-Tuesday, July 4
From races to parades, to BBQs and carnival activities, celebrate Independence Day in Aspen with friends and family! The day will kick off with the 30th Annual Buddy Race, with carnivals, parades, concerts, picnics and, of course, fireworks to cap off the day.
Independence Day Celebration-Sunday, July 2
Celebrate the long holiday weekend with family and friends at Copper Mountain. Experience all the activities the resort has to offer, enjoy free live music from Foghat and Savoy Brown then head to the Town of Frisco on Tuesday, July 4th for the annual Independence Day Parade and Fireworks Extravaganza.
July 4 Celebrations-Tuesday, July 4
Begin your Fourth of July celebration at Crested Butte by watching the parade in town on Elk Avenue at 11 a.m., then head up to the mountain for some fun before the fireworks! Enjoy the Twilight Adventure Park access from 4:30 7 p.m., then head to the base area lawn for a delicious BBQ dinner from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The free concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Bring your dancing shoes and don’t miss the Diamond Empire Band. Plus, the peak of Mt. Crested Butte will be lit as the backdrop of the fireworks show at 9:15 p.m.
Salida 4th of July-Tuesday, July 4
Historic downtown Salida will host a 4th of July Celebration sponsored by Monarch Mountain. The all-day event begins at noon and includes food, music and entertainment at Riverside Park in Salida. Dont miss the Hometown Parade at 4 p.m., live music from The Veedles at 5 p.m. and live music from Funky. Jazz. Soul starting at 7 p.m. Finish the day with a fireworks show at dusk, weather permitting.
Bands, Brews, & BBQ-Saturday, July 1
Celebrate Independence Day weekend with Durangos favorite summer music festival! Enjoy a full day of music with a great lineup of bands, presented by Modelo Beer! Your all-inclusive ticket gets you a great BBQ meal, your first beer, and six hours of great music.
Fourth of July Parade-Tuesday, July 4
The Fourth of July parade in Steamboat Springs is one of the highlights of Cowboys’ Roundup Days. The parade begins at 10 a.m. in downtown Steamboat on Lincoln Ave, but you’ll want to be downtown early to find a good seat. Afterwards, head over to the Pioneer Day Block Party on the corner of 8th and Oak streets for food, fun and Routt Beer Floats, or head over to the Jumpin’ & Jammin’ Ski Jumping Competition starting at noon. Finish the day with a firework show at 9:30 p.m. at Howelsen Hill.
4th of July Celebration-Tuesday, July 4
For over a hundred years, people have come together on Independence Day to celebrate patriotism and the independent spirt of this stunning mountain town. Join the Town of Telluride in their Fourth of July Celebration! The much loved 4th of July Parade begins at 11 a.m. on Main Street (Colorado Avenue). After the parade, make your way down to Telluride Town Park to enjoy the day’s events hosted by the Telluride Volunteer Fire Department including a large BBQ picnic, an array of kids’ games and activities, and one of the largest firework displays in the state of Colorado.

Join Winter Park for an evening of free family fun with a magic show, face painters, live music and of course fireworks at dark to celebrate Independence Day on July 4, 2017 at Hideaway Park, downtown Winter Park.
