Fourth of July Weekend Celebrations in Colorado Ski Country

Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) member resorts will be hosting events and festivities over the Independence Day holiday. Join Coloradans and visitors alike to mark the holiday with summer celebrations including delicious food, live music, holiday parades, family-friendly activities and brilliant fireworks displays to light up the sky. Events are subject to the weather.

Arapahoe Basin

Skiing on the Fourth of July and Weekend Events

For the first time since 2011, Arapahoe Basin will be open for top to bottom skiing on the Fourth of July. The season started on October 19, 2019 and will end on Independence Day. The weekend following will be packed with family friendly, fun events. On Friday, July 5, enjoy a one-hour yoga session at the base area of A-Basin with a local instructor. Saturday, July 6 will include the Summer Concert series featuring Liver Down the River, a local band from Durango, CO. Old Fashioned Fourth of July Parade

July 4th is packed with family friendly events on Main Street in Aspen. Start the day with over 1000 other participants at Boogies Buddy Race, then continue to the kid’s bike decorating party. The 19th Annual America’s Birthday Carnival will feature food and fun for everyone. The Old Fashion 4th of July Parade is the highlight of the day followed by the block party. Silverton’s Annual Fourth of July

Hosted by the Town of Silverton, this event is known throughout the region for its old-fashioned family fun. Start the day with a 2, 5 or 10K run and cool off after with the parade and water fight. Kendall Mountain Recreation Area will be open for camping through the holiday and is within walking distance of all downtown festivities including the parade and carnival in Memorial Park. As part of 4th of July weekend, the Summer Brew festival will be held on Saturday, July 6.
