Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals, Jimmie Vaughan and More at Copper Country 2015

Copper Mountain will bebuzzingthis Labor Day weekend, September 5 6, withtwo days of free live music, an arts festival and free kids activities forCopper Country2015.

Guests at Copper can spend the whole weekend celebrating with two full days of music performances kick off at noon on both Saturday and Sunday. Copper Country has hosted some of the top names in music and this year, the line-up includes inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame, Felix Cavalieres Rascals. Felix Cavalieres Rascals take to the Burning Stones Main Stage on Saturday, September 5 at 4:10 p.m. Jimmie Vaughan and the Tilt-A-Whirl Band close out the night on Sunday, September 6 with a performance at 5:25 p.m. Vaughan is considered one of the greatest guitarists in the world and is known for setting the standard for quality modern roots music. Other musical artists include Buckwheat Zydeco, Orleans, The Long Players, Savannah Jack and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

The Country Showdown Colorado Finals return to Copper Countrys line-up on Sunday, September 6 at 12 p.m. on the Burning Stones Main Stage. The Country Showdown begins each spring with over 450 local talent contests sponsored by country music radio stations throughout the nation. Winners advance to their respective state competitions then compete for a $1,000 prize, the State Title and the opportunity to advance to one of five Regional Finals.

The Arts and Artisan Festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday featuring local and regional artists across Coppers Center Village. Free activities for the kids such as pony rides and arts and crafts are available all weekend long near West Lake Overlook, Center Village.
