Fall Offers Weekend Events and Festivals in Colorado Ski Country

With fall in Colorado’s high-country just around the corner, Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) member resorts are celebrating with a variety of Labor Day Weekend events and fall festivals. Guests can find outdoor concerts, mountain biking, fireworks, fall colors, cooler mountain temperatures and Colorado craft beers at events across the state. Summer season closing dates are at the bottom of this release.

Winter Park Resort

Mountain Oktoberfest – September 7

Winter Park Resort’s Mountain Oktoberfest offers guests the perfect atmosphere for enjoying art installations, live painting competitions, an art auction and more. Telluride Ski Resort

Telluride Film Festival – August 30-September 2

Taking over Telluride for Labor Day weekend, the prestigious Telluride Film Festival is four days of movie magic, a celebration of film, community and creativity. The festival notoriously keeps its film schedule a secret, but year after year, films make their debut at the festival and go on to future success.

Cars and Colors Fest – September 26-29

Set among the canyons of the San Juan Mountains, Cars and Colors is placed against the spectacular backdrop of the area’s September fall foliage. Throughout the span of four days vintage, exotic, and high-end restoration vehicles are showcased throughout town. Marmot Mountain Trail Race – September 21

A trail race that starts at the bottom of the mountain and ends at the top of the mountain. Just shy of 12 miles, the non-technical trails and grade are steady throughout. Gears and Beers Fest – August 31

Enjoy live music, multiple beer and wine vendors and a day full of biking. This weekend will also be the 4th stop of the Revolution Enduro Series making for some excellent spectating opportunities.
