Sunset Skiing Announced on Aspen Mountain

2017 Snowmass JeremySwanson (1)

As daylight hours last longer, selected lifts at all four Aspen Snowmass mountains will be open until 4 p.m. starting Feb. 17 through the rest of the season. On Aspen Mountain the Silver Queen Gondola, Ajax Express and the FIS lift will run until 4 p.m. At Snowmass, the Elk Camp Gondola and Sheer Bliss lifts will run until 4 p.m. The Village Express will run until 4 p.m. to the top and until 4:15 p.m. to the mid station. The Exhibition lift at Aspen Highlands and the Summit Express lift at Buttermilk will also run until 4 p.m.

Beginning Mar. 9 through Apr. 6, every Friday on Aspen Mountain will offer sunset skiing followed by a party at the Sundeck. The party will go until 9:30 p.m. with après-ski drink specials, food and live entertainment. Food and drinks will be served until 8:30 p.m. A $10 foot pass will be available to ride the Silver Queen Gondola after 4 p.m. For sunset skiing on March 9, due to Daylight savings having not yet begun, the lifts will stop spinning at 5:30 p.m. and the Sundeck party will end at 7:30 p.m. with the last gondola ride leaving at 8 p.m.
