In an attempt to provide sensational snow conditions for our guests, Eldora Mountain Resort is delaying its snowmaking operations for Opening Day, originally planned for Friday, November 18th.
There is a promising weather front coming in this Thursday that should allow snowmaking to deliver the desired result. We will update our community as soon as possible. We are hopeful that we will be able to provide a quality Thanksgiving weekend experience for our Eldora guests, said Brent Tregaskis, President & General Manager.
Paul Fillion, our Director of Mountain Operations runs the most comprehensive snowmaking system in Colorado. I am looking forward to making quality snow surfaces and the conditions to do so, said Fillion. Our snowmaking team and mountain operations will begin snow production as overnight temperatures drop as early as Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Eldora Mountain Resort will open the ski area at the earliest opportunity conditions permit that guarantee a great early Season experience.
