Ski Country is the Place to Be for Easter Scavenger Hunts

What better way to celebrate spring than hunting eggs with the Easter Bunny in Colorado Ski Country? Here’s a roundup of Easter egg and scavenger hunts for kids and grownups alike.

Arapahoe Basin
Beach’N Egg Hunt -Sunday, March 27
The Easter Bunny visits A-Basin for an egg hunt that both skiing and non-skiing kids can enjoy. Participating guests can search for 5,000 eggs on the mountain. Kids on skis will head to Wrangler, one of our green (beginner) trails to search for eggs, and those who wish to hunt on foot will search in our learning spaces near the base area.

At 10:30am at the bottom of Molly Hogan, the Easter Bunny will be hiding a Golden Egg on Molly Hogan with a Kids price Half-Day Lesson. At11:30am on Wrangler near the North Fork entrance, aGolden Egg will be hiding on the trailwith a Childs 16/17 Season Pass. For more information, visit www.arapahoebasin.com.

Eldora
Easter Sunday March 27
Eldora is hosting Easter Sunday of fun for everyone. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to say hello to all the children and he will hit the slopes as well for some fun on the snow. In addition, the resort will host an Easter Egg hunt for kids in the base area, featuring eggs loaded with candy and great prizes including Eldora goodies and more. Copper Mountain
Coppers Easter Egg Hunt has increased from 50,000 to 65,000 eggs! New this year, 15,000 eggs are plant-based biodegradable. As part of the reduce, reuse, recycle movement, Copper encourages participants to turn empty eggs back in to be re-loaded for reuse in future years. Hallmark will provide a small prize to the first 400 kids who recycle their eggs. There are different hunts for kids of all ages from 3 and under in Coppers Center Village to adults in an on-mountain hunt to include the resorts Sherpa app.

Where Does Copper get their eggs from?

Copper purchases their eggs from Phil and Ruth Ayers (and family). The Ayers family hires veterans and folks with various disabilities to fill eggs. The eggs are made in the USA and filled in the USA. For more information, visit www.coppercolorado.com.

Loveland
Giant Easter Egg Hunt – Sunday, March 27
Visit Loveland on Easter Sunday for a giant Easter Egg hunt. Participating guests will gather at Loveland Basin for first chair at 8:30 am and keep their eyes peeled for the giant Easter eggs hidden on the slopes and around the base area.Huge eggs mean huge prizes like skis, snowboards, outerwear, lift tickets and more.This is an event for all ages.

The Easter Bunny will also be enjoying the slopes and there will be a more traditional Easter Egg Hunt just for kids off Lift 7 at Loveland Valley, a separate base area just for beginners. For more information about spring events at Loveland Ski Area, visit www.skiloveland.com.

Ski Granby Ranch
Beach Bash (March 26) and Easter Festivities (March 27)
Closing weekend is jam-packed with the Beach Bash celebration on Saturday, March 26, which includes snow cones, leis and a pond skim. The day will close with night skiing on the mountain and a Moonlight XC Ski and Snowshoe on the Golf Front 9. On the last day of the season, Sunday, March 27, head up the mountain for a Sunrise Easter Service, enjoy a special Easter Brunch at Granby Ranch Grill and visit the Easter Bunny during the Easter Egg Hunt. To celebrate the nearing bike season, the resort will be holding its first Granby Ranch Meltdown, an on-snow downhill bike race and kids fun ride. Telluride
Helly Hansen Scavenger Hunt – March 27
Helly Hansen will be hosting an on-mountain scavenger hunt using their app and geocaching. Guests who download the app will be notified when they are close to free Helly Hansen gear. From 1:00 3:00 pm, there will be a free beer tasting at Gorrono Ranch with Telluride Brewing Company and SweetWater Brewing serving up some of their most popular beers.
