Copper Mountain Announces Nov. 16 Opening with Top to Bottom Skiing and Riding, Beginner Terrain, 2 for 1 Coaster Rides and Live Music as Part of Welcome Home Weekend

Make your way back home to Copper Mountain for Opening Day on Friday, Nov. 16. As construction continues on the American Eagle and American Flyer lifts, the Super Bee Lift out of Copper’s East Village will start turning at 9 a.m. on Friday, giving skiers and snowboarders access to top-to-bottom terrain. The Easy Rider magic carpet will also be open for beginner skiing and riding in Copper’s Center Village. In addition to skiing and riding at Copper, celebrations throughout Welcome Home Weekend include 2 for 1 Rocky Mountain Coaster rides, free live music, giveaways and more.

Weather depending, the festivities will kickoff at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16 with surprise giveaways from the Welcome Home Squad, raffle prizes, and a visit from Betty the Yeti. At 1 p.m., Summit County’s very own blues band, Chris Bauer Trio, takes the stage in East Village for a free performance.

On Saturday, Nov. 17, Woodward Copper kicks off its 10th season with the annual Barn Bash. Experience the indoor action sports paradise this is the Woodward Copper barn with free sessions for the first 500 visitors, plus live music, DJ, giveaways, skate bowl expression session, pro athlete autograph signing and the Copper Mountain premiere of new movie “YES, it’s Been 10 Years” presented by YES Snowboards and Zeal Optics.

On Sunday, East Village will be buzzing with more festivities including live tunes from DJ Rude Boi on Saturday and a free concert by Colorado’s own DeVotchKa on Sunday starting at 1 p.m.
