Colorado Ski Resorts Welcome Over a Foot of Snow for a White Christmas

Colorado Ski Country USA member ski areas have received over a foot of snow in the last 48 hours, including new snowfall throughout the day on Christmas Day.

Skiers and riders at Winter Park Resort enjoyed 9 inches of fresh snow in the last 24 hours and a total of 18 inches in the last 48 hours. Steamboat welcomed 7 inches of snow in the last 24 hours and 18 inches of snow within 48 hours.

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area has received 16 inches of powder in the last 48 hours, while Eldora has received 15 fresh inches and Loveland Ski Area welcomed 14 inches.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort was blanketed in 10 inches of fresh snow in the last 48 hours. Meanwhile, 9 inches fell on Monarch Mountain, while Cooper and Howelsen Hill each received 8 inches of snow.

Up to 6 inches of powder fell on Copper Mountain, Echo Mountain and Granby Ranch. Sunlight Mountain Resort received 5 inches of snow in the last 48 hours.

At Aspen Snowmass, 5 inches of snow fell at Aspen Highlands, while Snowmass and Aspen Mountain both greeted 4 inches of fresh snow.

The forecast calls for snow to continue falling throughout the day, giving Colorado skiers and riders the gift of a white Christmas.
