The most recent winter storm swept through Colorado last night covering Colorado Ski Country USA resorts with six to 17 inches of new snow. As a result, today was the first major powder day of the 2015/16 season enjoyed by skiers and riders at two resorts already open for the season; Loveland where eight inches fell and Arapahoe Basin where seven inches fell.
The storm walloped Wolf Creek with 17 inches of fresh snow and that resort will open for the weekend starting Friday November 6, then close for Monday November 9 and Tuesday November 10, and will re-open for daily seasonal operations on Wednesday November 11.
Other snow totals and opening dates for Colorado Ski Country USA resorts across the state include 12 inches at Sunlight Mountain Resort, nine inches at Copper Mountain and Winter Park, seven inches at Aspen Snowmass, and six inches at Purgatory.
