Dustin Schaefer, Loveland
The Easter Bunny came but is now long gone.
And birds of a feather have begun to sing.
But the skiing and riding is still goin strong.
As Ski Country resorts remain Kings of Spring.
We dedicate this poem to the Colorado Ski Country, the Kings of Spring. Colorado has one of the longest ski seasons of any other state, often stretching well into June. And as one of the best snow years in recent Colorado history approaches its twilight, we say, its good to be King.
The following resorts are still open for skiing and riding:
Arapahoe Basin Open every day of the week until they close. Closing date: TBA.
Aspen Mountain Added two extra weekends to their season: April 26 & 27, and May 3 & 4.
Copper Mountain Extended their season and is re-opening for April 25 27.
Crested Butte Extended their season and is re-opening for April 26 & 27.
Loveland Open every day of the week until their closing day May 4.
Winter Park Extended their season and is open every day of the week until their closing day April 27.
Expect to see more snowfall this weekend, as Meteorologist Joel Gratz is forecasting yet another spring storm to arrive Saturday night and stay through Sunday evening. Open resorts should expect another 7-12 inches of powder by the end of the weekend, so dont pack up the winter gear just yet.
In addition to the fresh powder this weekend, A-Basin, Loveland, and Winter Park will be hosting these events:
A-Basin: Alpenglow Ascents- Friday, April 25th
Join the Alpenglow Ascents crew for their last 3-part series of uphill and downhill skiing challenges. The group will start and finish at the base area, and summit to over 12,400ft.

In honor of all that the Colorado Avalanche Information has done for skiers and riders this season, Loveland will be hosting this event to show their appreciation. The BBQ lunch kicks off at 11:30am so you can refuel for the afternoon, and live music with New Belgium beer will start at 2:30pm on the Basin Patio.
