As we near the height of the ski season in the Rocky Mountain West, Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) member resorts have a full calendar of events, deals, promotions, and activities for the whole family in addition to snow conditions that rival the greatest seasons in a generation. Between now and the end of March, guests at CSCUSA resorts can participate in a variety of fun racing events, catch a range of concerts, learn new tricks in the terrain park, partake in some of the most unusual scavenger hunts imaginable, and so much more.

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area
Alpenglow Ascents Rando Series Friday, March 21, 4:30pm
The first of a three-part race series, this race is perfect for Dynafit-outfitted rando racers, people training for The Traverse, the Power of Four, or for people who just want to get a solid uphill workout in after work. There are two courses for this event: a Long Course featuring multiple transitions and significant elevation gain and a Try-It course that has a single transition and less elevation gain. There will be prizes for the top 3 male and female winners in each division, and some fun random prizes, such as prize for the person who comes in 23rd or a random prize hidden on the course. Its a great time to hang out with friends who participate in uphill travel, whether they are skiers or split-boarders, recreational athletes or elites. Everyone is welcome at Alpenglow Ascents. Aspen/Snowmass
14th Annual Bud Light Spring Jam March 14-23, 2014
The 14th annual Bud Light Spring Jam will bring two weekends of competitions, downtown concerts and parties to Aspen/Snowmass. The festival kicks off March 14 with the legendary Johnny Cash cover band Cashd Out in the Aspen Gondola Plaza. The festivities continue the next day at the annual KickAspen Big Air, where skiers and snowboarders compete under the lights at the base of Aspen Mountain and the Fallen Friends Memorial Event the following day. A Terrain Park Boot Camp offers both adults and kids instruction on how to slide a box or hit a rail in a mini-park on Snowmass.
Weekend two kicks off with Core Party concert in downtown Aspen featuring Beats Antique, a trio featuring a mixture of live electronic and experimental world fusion music, and continues with the legendary Helly Hansen Battle in the Bowls, and a free concert with Lukas Nelson & P.O.T.R. Woodward Winter Camps March 22-23
Skiers and snowboarders who have been inspired by the 2014 Winter Olympics and are ready to take over the mountain will enjoy Woodward at Coppers March Winter Camps, sponsored by Sara Outerwear and Gnu Girls on Saturday and Sunday, March 22 23. Guests will spend half the day in The Woodward Barn on trampolines and in foam pits before taking it to the snow in Woodwards terrain parks to prefect any trick. Camp is complete with giveaways from Saga and Gnu, guests have the option to sign up for one or two day camp. Powderhorn Mountain Resort
Powderhorn PH3 Race – Sunday, March 16
The Powderhorn Triple Play (PH3) Race will have three areas of concentration: Bike, Skin or Snowshoe and Ski, Tele or Ride. The race starts with an 8.35 mile, 2,627 foot vertical gain cycling stage from Mesa, CO to Powderhorn Resort. Racers will then transition to the Skin or Snowshoe portion and travel 2.03 mile, 1,741 foot elevation gain to the top of Powderhorn Resort. 10th Mountain Division Day Saturday, February 22
Ski Cooper will be honoring its roots again this year celebrating the service and lives of the men who served in the 10th Mountain Division in the Allied invasion of Italy in the Second World War. Guests who come skiing for the day will see a 10th Mountain Reenactment lead the ski down, meet surviving members of the division, and sit next to them while they honor their fallen brothers at the Tennessee Pass Memorial. Telluride Ski Resort will be celebrating the end of winter and heating things up for spring with the Mountain Town Get Down, taking place March 28-30, 2014. The 39th Annual Wells Fargo Ski Cup February 21-23
World-class disabled ski racers, Denver celebrities, Broncos alumni along with amateur skiers and snowboarders of all abilities come together for a weekend of activities to benefit the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD). Competitors in the Governor’s Cup, a Pro Am race, assemble a team of five friends, family members or co-workers to compete for cash prizes and bragging rights. The highlight of the weekend is the World Disabled Invitational, when disabled skiers compete head-to-head on parallel courses. Clinics and Racing throughout February and March
On February 22 and March 29, guests can partake in a special lift /lesson package which includes a 2 hour morning Telemark lesson for all ability levels and an all Mountain Lift Ticket for $69.00. On March 4th, Wolf Creek will host a special ski and board clinic for seniors. Lift/Lesson package which includes a 2 hour morning lessons plus an All Mountain Lift Ticket.
