Colorado Ski Country USA ski areas received several inches of fresh snow over the last 48 hours, just in time for the holidays, with more snow in the forecast over the weekend.
Snowmass was blanketed in 9 inches of fresh powder, with 6 inches of snow falling at both Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands. Sunlight Mountain received 7 inches, kicking off their Opening Day celebrations with fresh tracks.
Purgatory Resort and Wolf Creek Ski Area have received 7 and 8 inches of snow, respectively, while Telluride recorded 4 new inches.
In the Front Range, Loveland led the charge with 7 inches of new snow in the last 48 hours. Copper Mountain and Cooper both recorded 4 inches of snow, while Winter Park, Arapahoe Basin, Crested Butte and Buttermilk each received 3.
The forecast calls for more snow across the state through the weekend and into next week, which will allow even more terrain to open in anticipation of a busy Holiday season.
