Close Out the Season with Sunsation at Copper Mountain

Copper Mountain Resort Copper Mountain Resort

Copper Mountain is closing out the 2015/16 winter season with a weekend of fun, fanfare and flare that promises to be one for the books. The annual spring festival, Sunsation presented by Dos Equis, returns on April 16-17, featuring RedBull Slopesoakers, the Eenie Weenie Bikini Contest, freelive music and more surprises. Thanks to 62 inches of snow in the month of March, Copper will be extending the season for an extra weekend of skiing and riding April 22-24.

The Most Interesting Weekend kicks off with the 5th annual RedBull SlopeSoakers on Saturday, April 16. This one-of-a-kind event combines a traditional pond skim with a slopestyle rail jam. This years event will have more features and fun than ever before. Competitors are encouraged to register in advance online at CopperColorado.com. Once featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, this on-snow bikini contest allows competitors to ski or snowboard down Lower Bouncer in their beach best. Competitors will be judged on creativity and flare, with prizes including season passes, snowboards, GoPros and more. Registration is free, and will take place on Saturday from 2:30 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 12:30 p.m. The event kicks off promptly at 1:00 p.m. in Center Village. After Sunday, April 17 Copper will shut down the lifts, but have no fear they will spin again for an extended weekend of skiing and riding on Friday, April 22 through Sunday, April 24.
