Elsa Bailey made it up to Arapahoe Basin for her 101st birthday party on Saturday. She skied down Pika Place, possibly setting a world record for the oldest woman to strap on skis and descend downhill. Her ski pals from Colorado Springs, the VIBES crew, and her friends and family came in from all over the country to help her celebrate.

She told stories all morning, memories of a hilarious and sharp woman who began skiing more than 75 years ago at age 25. With skiing post-100 years old now crossed off her bucket list, she turns to other items on it, including touring the Norwegian fjords, seeing polar bears in the Arctic and visiting Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park.
