Loveland Ski Area - Dustin Schaeffer
A series of winter storms in Colorado dropped snow over four days through this weekend, leading to fantastic powder conditions for skiers and riders and several terrain openings as the holiday season approaches.
There are two types of skiers and riders. The first sleeps in, meanders over to the ski area, eats a leisurely breakfast in the lodge and boards the first chairlift around mid-morning. The second has been chasing first tracks and shredding powder runs since dawn.
It's been quite a while since we've talked about a decent snowstorm impacting the state. Remember back just before Halloween when there was record cold and record snow? And then, radio silence. Yeah, we all got excited about the approaching season and then our balloons all seemed to deflate amid weeks upon weeks of dry weather.
