It's hard to believe now, but there was a time when everyone didn't have a camera and phone in their pocket to show how good a skier or snowboarder they were and the technology to show it to the world on social media. 

All I want for Christmas is a powder day ... thanks Santa!

'Twas the day before Christmas Eve and it was raining heavily in southern California with a wind out of the southwest.  

For Colorado skiers and snowboarders, that means one thing: snow is on the way. 

And, for my part of Colorado at least, Christmas will be a powder day.

With Purgatory Resort crossing the 300” mark for total snowfall this morning and sister mountain Hesperus Ski Area reporting 188”, both ski areas announced today they are adding ski days to the 2018-2019 winter.
