Camps, Concerts, Bikes and Brews – Last week Copper announced its summer event line up and new summer activity season pass. The events schedule includes favorites like: 3 Ring Weekend, the Courage Classic, Guitar Town and Copper Country, in addition to NEW events such as: Genuine Wine and Jazz, Warrior Dash, the Village Art Walk, and the Saturday Concert Series.

The new Summer Season Pass is available for only $69 and Summer Activity Day Passes are only $39. Both passes offer unlimited access to the Quad bungee, mini golf, Diggler, scenic chair lift rides, lake activities, bike/equipment haul, climbing wall and one session per day on Summit County’s only go-kart track. The Summer Day pass is valid for the day of purchase, whereas the Summer Season Pass is valid for the entire summer.

A typical day during a Woodward at Copper summer camp will include skiing on-snow at Copper’s summer version of the Catalyst terrain park in the morning (Colorado’s only on-snow summer terrain park), Barn sessions in the afternoon and evening, and many additional recreational activities including skate tours, go-carts, create-a-skate, music, rock climbing, hiking and much more. Campers will live and eat at Copper’s EDGE building, which is located right next to the slopes and right down the road from the Barn.

Spring 2010 :

The first week of Woodward at Copper summer camp will be geared towards adults, women and competitive teams. The Pac Sun team will be shredding and loaded down with swag. June 18 20 Opening Weekend

The Copper Mountain US Race Series Half Marathon returns for a 4th year of competition. The 21st Annual Children’s Hospital Courage Classic returns to Copper Mountain for three consecutive, fun-filled days of cycling over three Rocky Mountain passes at the height of summer. About two thousand riders hit the roads from Leadville to Summit County and back, for a 3-day, 157-mile ride, encompassing backcountry roads, challenging climbs and as always, picturesque views; all in an effort to raise money for The Childrens Hospital in Denver. www.couragetours.com

Aug. 7 Copper Triangle Bicycle Tour
The famous Copper Triangle has long been considered one of Colorados classic alpine road rides. Graced with 78 miles of breathtaking scenery, gorgeous roads and three challenging climbs (including Fremont Pass, Tennessee Pass and Vail Pass), the Copper Triangle exemplifies cycling in the Colorado Rockies.
