Back on Track

Back on Track – With the close of A-Basin on June 6, the 2009/10 ski season will be history. Later that week, ski industry leaders from resorts across the state will migrate to Denver for the 47th Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) Annual Meeting, the largest annual gathering of Colorado ski industry professionals. This year’s Annual Meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center in downtown Denver on June 10.

The event will feature a full day of speakers, panel discussions, awards, and industry announcements, including the release of year-end skier visit numbers for the 2009-10 ski season.

Political commentator and author Meghan McCain will deliver a keynote speech. Other speakers, such as marketing consultant and customer loyalty expert Luke Williams, and a panel with four top airline professionals, will round out the day.

Six major candidates for U.S. Senate and Colorado Governor will address meeting attendees regarding their stances on issues that affect the ski industry, and US Forest Service Regional Forester Rick Cables will speak to meeting guests on the battle to combat the bark beetle epidemic in Colorados mountains.

A welcome reception hosted by The Denver Post will kick things off on Wednesday, June 9, the night before the Annual Meeting general session.
