Aspen Snowmass Bike School and Roaring Fork Cycling announce a new partnership for the summer 2021 season to help with program demand, resources and growth in youth cycling.
The two entities will work together to host cycling camps for grades one through six, previously run by Roaring Fork Cycling. This new partnership will help to support the demand and programming of each organization and expand operations and courses for children looking to bike this summer.
“RFC works to support our local and visiting youth with educational experiences that connect our local youth of the valley with the local environment, the local community, and, more introspectively, themselves,” says Jon Delk, co-founder of Roaring Fork Cycling. “Teaming up with Aspen Snowmass gives us the opportunity to grow our ridership, raise awareness about the program, and focus on our core mission statement ‘to empower youth through cycling’.”
“To partner with an organization that finds such passion and drive in biking brings us great excitement and opportunity,” says Jonathan Ballou, Managing Director of the Ski & Snowboard Schools and Bike School at Aspen Snowmass. “We are excited to offer resources and further our operations and programming to allow more kids to get out there and bike.”
Registration for Bike Camps will open April 28 through the Roaring Fork Cycling website here. Camps will run June 7 through July 30 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

About Roaring Fork Cycling
Roaring Fork Cycling was founded in 2016 by Trina Ortega, Rob Russell, and Jon Delk with a mission to “Empower Youth Through Cycling”. A noticeable gap sparked the founding of RFC; great trails, excellent coaching, and few kids on mountain bikes. RFC was born to develop an environment for coaches and kids to ride together at a variety of ages and abilities to create and foster experiences and passion for cycling and the environment in which allowed them to do so. RFC has developed a pipeline for riders to grow and excel at a sport that is uniquely accessible in the Roaring Fork Valley. While growing this pipeline the need to make bikes and programming accessible to all has become apparent. To truly empower youth through cycling RFC is working on breaking down barriers, reaching out to the community and bringing everyone along to share in the experience that is biking in the Roaring Fork Valley.
