Copper Mountain’s Ski and Ride University is a brand new program for skiers and snowboarders who are completely new to the sport. For $199, Ski and Ride U includes three ski or snowboard lessons with lift tickets and equipment rental; 3 days of parking in the Union Creek lot, lunch on your 2nd and 3rd day of lessons; and a Copper Mountain season pass upon graduation of the program!


Ski and Ride U can only be purchased in person at Copper Mountain. Both Guest Services and the Mountain Sports Sales Center are located in the Copper One building. Click here for a map of the village.

Your three lessons can be taken on any dates between December 19, 2013 and March 30, 2014. (all lessons are based on availability).

To prepare for the first day of lessons, SKi and Ride U participants will need winter clothing (i.e. one pair of winter socks, long underwear, water proof & insulated jacket/pant, hat, gloves/mittens, sun glasses or goggles, and a helmet is recommended. (Lesson participants under 18 are required to wear a helmet). Click here for more tips on what to wear and bring! Remember, you will be renting your skis or snowboard when you get to Copper, so allow yourself enough time to drive here, park, and get through the rental shop. Copper Mountain staff recommends arriving at least one hour before your lesson start time. Your first day of lessons will be a half day learn to ski/ride lesson, and your second and third days will be full day lessons.

On the days you reserved your lessons, you will drive directly to the Union Creek lot and park your vehicle. When you see us in the parking booth, let us know that you are enrolled in Ski and Ride U, so we can check your name off our handy list. Head inside to the West Village rental shop to get your gear. We cant wait to see you!! You are almost ready to start your day on the snow. After you pick up your gear, you will head to the lesson meeting area and meet your instructor! He or she will take it from there.
