Labor Day Pass Sales Will Make Colorado’s Skiers and Riders Jump for Joy

Can you believe that the 2014-15 ski season is barely two months away? With Labor Day weekend signaling the end of summer, Colorado skiers and riders can find significant savings on ski passes at the holiday weekend sales. Through the end of August and into September, major retailers and winter sports groups host special sale events focused on winter gear and apparel, including ski passes. A handful of Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) resorts are at the sales with pass products available at discounted prices.

Every year, CSCUSA resorts continue to add value to their pass products, giving purchasers more bang for their buck and more flexibility for their ski schedule. With a little bit of research, skiers and riders can takeadvantage of avariety of pass products available this Labor Day and purchase the pass that meets their ski season needs at the best prices of the season.

In addition to season passes, CSCUSA resorts will be offering great deals on other multi-day pass products. You’ll have to head to the sales to see everything that’s being offered, but here’s a highlight from each participating resort:

Arapahoe Basin will be attending Sniagrab in downtown Denver and Powder Daze in Littleton. A-Basin’s featured pass product is itsElevation 4 Pass, available online and at shows. Prices subject to change. The Elevation 4 Pass entitles the pass holder to four days of skiing/snowboarding at A-Basin with no blackout datesfor just $129 (adults ages 15+)/$99 (children ages 6-14). Aspen/Snowmass’s4-day and 7-day Classic Passes are back starting at $229.Classic Passholders ski or ride at a highly discounted rate and receive discounts on extension days and summer lift access. Early purchase pricing for all Classic passes is listed below and valid through Oct. 12, 2014

Copper Mountain’slegendary Four Pack ($149) guarantees four days of skiing and riding at Copper Mountain, with no blackout dates during the 2013/2014 season. Below are early season prices for the Copper Season Pass, with no blackout dates. Guests at Powder Daze in Denver and Dillon who purchase Four Packs will receive a bonus 5th day at no additional cost. Learn more about discounts and other benefits Four Pack holders enjoyhere.

Crested Butte’s featured deal is the Getaway Pass, which includesonenight of lodging at the Grand Lodge Crested Butte and twodays of lift tickets for two people. The Getaway Pass will be on sale at Sniagrab over the Labor Day weekend for $249, a $30 savings over the regular $279 price. See here for more information about the Getaway Pass.

Loveland will be selling its renowned 4-Paks for $129, which is less than $33 per day of skiing and riding.Loveland 4-Paks are actual lift tickets that can be used by anyone on any day of the 2013-2014 season. With no restrictions and no blackouts, 4-Paks are only available through November 24, 2013. Learn more about Loveland’s 2014-15 pass products here.

Monarch Mountain will be offering three days for $99 at Sniagrab in Colorado Springs and Powder Daze. Vouchers that is redeemed at the ticket window for the tickets. Black out dates are December 26, 2014 – January 4, 2015 and February 14-15, 2015.

For the Labor Day Weekend, Powderhorn willbe hosting itsSeason Pass Kick-Off at the Epic Rides/Grand Junction Off-Road in downtown Grand Junction. Hours are:

  • Friday, August 29: 10 AM 7 PM
  • Saturday, August 30: 7:30 AM 7 PM
  • Sunday, August 31: 7:30 AM 2 PM

All of Powderhorn’spass products will be on sale. TheFamily Passis 10% off the already discounted rate when guestsvpurchase at least one (1) Adult Season Pass plus one (1) qualifying dependent Youth, Junior or Child season pass. See herefor more information.

Powderhorn’sCollege Pass remains at $299 for the entire season, whether purchasednow oronreturn from winter break.

The Steamboat3 pass offers three non-consecutive days valid throughout the ski and snowboard season (excluding December 26 through January 10). Limited to one pass per person, the Steamboat 3 will be available at a special $129 introductory rate exclusively in-store during Powderdaze at Christy Sports in Denver starting August 21 through the September 2. The Steamboat 3 Pass will also be on sale for $129 at Sniagrab from August 29- September 1. Front Range skiers and riders who cant make it to Christy Sports or Sniagrab can purchase the Steamboat 3 pass online at steamboat.com for $139 from August 21- September 2.

Starting September 6th the pass will continue to be available at participating Christy Sports locations across the Front Range through September 30th for $159. This special $159 rate will be offered to all Steamboat fans online at steamboat.com for a limited 12-day period ending September 13 or while supplies last.

Telluride will be offering a new 3-Day pass at Sniagrab in Denver. For $189 ($63 per day), pass holders canski and ride Tellurideany three days all season with no blackouts. See here formore information about discounts and other benefits enjoyed by Telluride passholders.

Winter Park Resort will be promoting the Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus, which for the 2014-15 season unlocks skiing and snowboarding at five CSCUSA resorts. This year, the Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus features unlimited skiing at Eldora and three days at Crested Butte in addition to unlimited skiing at Winter Park, Copper Mountain, and six days at Steamboat. The price is $529 but will go up shortly after Labor Day.
