Colorado Ski Vacations

Colorado boasts 300 days of sunshine and more than 400 inches of snow a year. That’s approximately 200 days and 400 inches more than other places in the world. Our mountains are our home, and we love it when people from across the country and abroad come and share the wealth of enjoyment that our mountains afford. Consider Colorado Ski Country your digital destination when planning your Colorado ski vacation, as www.ColoradoSki.com will help you access everything you want or everywhere you need to go.

What’s the easiest way to get here? Well that all depends on where you’re coming from. DIA, our international airport in Denver, is one of the cleanest, friendliest, and most energy-efficient in the country. It will soon be servicing a fifth international destination, and has a host of flights daily from major cities across the United States.

It also depends on where you’re traveling destination is. Our state boasts a number of regional airports that have direct flights from across the country, putting guests literally minutes from the slopes. Of course if you’re driving to our Colorado Ski Country resorts, it’s a different story, but here’s some more help on that front.

So given the choice of ski resorts across the world to choose from, why Colorado? We’re glad you asked. With 28,791 acres of skiing, 219 lifts and 1,747 trails at 22 resorts, it’s understandable why our state is the top choice for skiers and snowboarders. In 2010/11, Colorado resorts recorded more than 12 million skier visits for the second time in history. That number accounts for more than 20 percent of all skier visits nationwide, not bad considering 37 different states host at least one ski resort.

Variety and Activities

One of the reasons Colorado stands above the rest is our variety, both in the widespread locations of our resorts and in the activities that we offer. With 28,791 acres to ski in Colorado Ski Country, there’s more than enough space for everyone to ski.

For those who want a world-class resort that is amenity-heavy and features top-of-the-line luxury, Colorado is renowned for these types of destinations. But if you’re in the mood for more of a local’s scene, in a true Old West town with hidden lore and stashes, we’ve got plenty of those too. Or if you’re searching for the perfect family vacation, complete with kid-friendly options such as tubing hills and caring instructors that cater to the young and the new, Colorado resorts are among the best in the world. Ultimately, if what you’re searching for lies somewhere between extreme and beginner, off the beaten path and world-class, or neighborly and celebrity, well, we’ve got you covered.

Even if you don’t want to come in winter, come and see us in the summer. Between our mountain bike parks, ziplines, alpine slides and multitude of other activities, there’s an activity for all ages and enthusiasts of every ability. In short, if you want to do it outdoors, Colorado offers it.
