Colorado Resorts Welcome Winter Storm

DENVER, Colo. – February 3, 2012 – Ski resorts in Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) welcomed a powerful snow storm that swept through the state during the last 48 hours.

So far, accumulation amounts have totaled more than three feet at some resorts. Echo Mountain, located 30 minutes from Downtown Denver, reported 40 inches as snow continues to fall this evening. Eldora Mountain Resort, located just outside of Nederland, reported 24 inches of snow at the time lifts closed today.

The storm path was sporadic, leaving nearly a foot of snow at Wolf Creek as that ski area reported 11 inches. Monarch Mountain measured 9 inches and Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort saw 8 inches.

The storm brought fresh snow to many CSCUSA resorts. The full snow report can be viewed at http://www.coloradoski.com/snow-report.
